But i use zora fairchild right now from 3dnpc and she has a custom bodymesh/textures from a replacer mod i use. You can create or salvage a custom race (one that doesn't use the vanilla file pathway) for your pc, every one of the regular npc would use the original skin texture but yours would be different. Either tesvedit or creation kit would allow you to change texture paths of npc's.
